Model Cafe

The model is a bar...let's rule out the "cafe" part of the title. A cash only, trendy nightspot for the young and the restless, the Model Cafe--not really a cafe as the meals are liquid only--is the go-to late night bar for the Allston hip crowd. Decorated with art on the walls and mustering up an aura that's more old-school rock with a neighborhood twist, than local dive bar, this bar stays open until 2 a.m. 6 nights and is the best place to end an evening of people watching and fun. The Café's infamous in the local rock scene--J. Geils once kept rehearsal space below this joint. The Model is the kind of bar you go to when you run out of beer at home and don't feel like changing out of your pajama bottoms.
